There is one God, the creator and ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three distinct but equal persons– the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST:
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT:
The Holy Spirit is our comforter, teacher, and very present help in times of need. He comes and dwells in us at the New Birth of those who believe. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues is a gift from God as promised by Jesus to all believers.

ABOUT HUMANITY:
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like him in character. They are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although people have tremendous potential for good, they are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. This attitude separates humankind from God.

Our Team
Barry and Kimba Cunningham
Senior Pastors
Apostle Barry and Pastor Kimba have been in ministry for over 35 years and place an emphasis on the authority of the word of God and walking in the power and love of the Holy Spirit.
They are graduates of Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and in 2001, followed the calling of God to be missionaries in our beloved nation of Ireland. Ever since coming to know the Lord in 1980 during his days at Southwest Missouri State University, Apostle Barry has been involved in pioneering churches. This apostolic calling on his life has taken him throughout the United States, Europe and Africa boldly preaching the Gospel and helping to raise up godly leaders.
Pastor Kimba is the director of the Women’s and Children’s Ministry at New Life Church. Starting with a degree in Primary Education at Oral Roberts University and biblical training at Rhema, she has spent over 40 years ministering to children of all ages, and also to men and women at NLC and beyond. She has a passion to share the love of Jesus, and to teach the Word. Pastor Kimba demonstrates a wonderful mother’s heart and loves being an encouragement to the body of Christ.
Emmanuel Opawoye and Sharon Bolanta-Opawoye
Assistant Pastors
Pastor Emmanuel and Pastor Sharon are passionate about seeing lives transformed by the love and truth of Jesus Christ. United in their calling and commitment to the kingdom of God, Sharon and Emmanuel are devoted to helping people come to a saving knowledge of Christ and to walking in the fullness of all that God has prepared for them.
Both being the children of pastors back in Nigeria, Pastors Sharon and Emmanuel deeply value the local church as a place of healing, equipping, and sending. They believe in the power of the Gospel to bring hope to every situation and are committed to reaching both the lost and the hurting with the life-changing message of Christ.
Pastor Sharon is also the leader of the Youth Ministry. She combines the word of God with her passion for the next generation to develop young men and women to be rooted in Christ.
Together, they bring a dynamic and compassionate leadership style to New Life Church, encouraging others to pursue a deeper relationship with God and to walk boldly in His promises.
Stephanie Cunningham
Praise & Worship Co-Leader
Stephanie has been serving as the praise and worship leader at New Life Church for over 10 years. A graduate of Victory Bible College (Class of 2010), she focused her studies on worship ministry, following her passion for leading others into the presence of God through music. With a heart for authentic worship and a desire to see lives transformed, Stephanie leads the worship team with excellence, humility, and a deep love for Jesus. Stephanie, also a graduate of Munster Technological University with a degree in Visual Communications, works on design and social media for the church.
Naomy Bikunda
Praise & Worship Co-Leader
Naomy has been a committed member of New Life Church since 2009. As co-leader of the praise and worship team, she aims to have engaging, Christ-centred services each week. Beyond the platform, Naomy teaches in our children’s ministry and supports the youth team, combining her love of scripture and her love of mentoring the next generation. Her heart is to see people of every age encounter God through genuine worship, biblical teaching, and caring relationships.
Sandra Smith Ajayi-Taiwo
Prayer Ministry Coordinator
Sandra has been a part of New life Church for over 5 years. She enjoys creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. She actively serves in the Children’s Ministry, the Worship Ministry and leads the Prayer Ministry. She is passionate about fostering a culture of prayer within the church and leads the weekly prayer meetings with a focus on unity and seeking God’s will. Her desire is to see people encounter God’s presence and experience the fullness of His love.
